The Original Hamburger

Image
Location: Johnny Rockets , Galleria If you're a burger lover, then Johnny Rockets is the place for you! Johnny Rockets is an international restaurant chain that provides the food, fun and friendliness reminiscent of feel-good Americana. On June 6, 1986, the first Johnny Rockets opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, offering guests friendly service and great food in a fun and nostalgic atmosphere. The place is very bright and lively. Old school music played on the jukebox as background. The waiters, superb service! They have a unique way of greeting customers. Once you enter, you will be accompanied by a waiter shouting "Hi guys!" as he opens the door for you. Then the rest of the Johnny Rockets crew greet you as well! Oh and they're all dancers! Hahaha they danced Buttercup for all the customers. I ordered their Bacon Chedder Single . It has thick bacon, cheddar cheese, fresh lettuc e, ripe tomato, onion slice & special sauce. All their hamburgers are served w

French Tip

Image
Location: Robinsons Galleria It's my birthday so I gave myself some nail pampering! I've never had my nails done. There's no harm trying, so yeah why not! I was walking around Galleria hoping to buy items for myself when I passed by nail-a-holics. Without thinking I went in and checked the services they offer. There were a lot! From manicure, pedicure, hand/foot spa treatment, nail art, waxing, massage, nail and eyelash extensions! They also have packages where these services are mixed and matched. I availed their Sea Crest French Manicure service at 250pesos. Nail shaping, hand/wrist massage, polish, french tip. Veryexpensive for a french tip. The place was relaxing though. Couch was comfortable and the music played made fall asleep while getting my nails done. I won't be doing this on a regular basis though. I just tried it out! Service was ok, finish product also ok. I wouldn't say perfect. Just ok. I won't go back that's for sure. Nail-a-holics has vari

Birthday Treat

Image
Location: Mandarin Hotel It's my birthday! Instead of the usual dinner outside, mom decided we have breakfast. And so we did! We went to Mandarin Deli, where the freshest breads, the most decadent pastries and the healthiest salad are served. They also have pancakes, waffles, Continental/Filipino/Chinese breakfast. I ordered the Filipino breakfast. It consisted of fried rice, beef tapa, atchara, ensaymada, pandesal and juice. Mom ordered strawberry pancake. Delicious. But very pricey! Well yuh, you're paying for the ambiance of the place and not the food because honestly the food was not that extraordinary. Filipino breakfast costs 780pesos while the strawberry pancake costs 450pesos. Sooo overly priced! Yes, plus plus points for the well maintained area and of course the courteous servers. Soo full after eating. Next time we'll try their breakfast buffet when mom's not in a hurry anymore haha. Thanks for the treat!

Surf 1 (2011)

Image
Location: Baler, Aurora Jan 21-23, 2011 My first surf trip for the year 2011! Yeah!! For the first time I was able to load the 1am bus trip to Baler. It was the fastest trip ever. It took us only 6 hours travel time. By 7am were already in the beautiful town of Baler. We pitched Jame's over sized tent had our breakfast then off to surf!! Weeee. The weather was perfect, sunny and not windy at all. The waves were pumping every where. Readied my rashguard and Denden . For the whole three days of stay we did nothing but surf, sleep, EAT, drink, sleep... and the cycle goes on. On our first night, I treated them with some beer! Early birthday celebration. Yeahay! What a perfect way to pre-celebrate my birthday. Beach life. You hear the sounds of the waves, feel the cold wind, and just forget all the busyness the city brings. Saturday, we went to Cemento Cobra Reef Point to watch the Cemento Pipe Master Challenge. It was a struggle going to the point. 20min tricycle ride from Sabang beach

stocks

Ok so I still don't have a full time job. I turned down a job offer last week and I left my part time tutoring job three days ago. Just so I have something to do, mom gave me money to invest in stocks. Yesterday I was browsing through the Philippine Stock Exchange website and chose what to buy. I bought shares from Metro Pacific Investment Corp and Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc. All I have to do is to diligently monitor their performance and unload these stocks once I've reached the percent increase I want. There are actually people who earn and get rich trading stocks. Of course there are risks. You'll just have to be patient and not greedy!
