Faith in the Lord, the possibilities are limitless. Tiwala.

Sunshine after the rain

My thoughts right now. It's been a week since that day I got an unexpected call. Dear Lord please continue to give me strength. I know you are there to guide me always and you will never put me in a situation that I can't handle. Thank you Lord for continuously showering me with your love and blessings.

Stress free zone

Dahican, Mati Davao Oriental Oct 25-31, 2015 I must say this trip was yet again one for the books! And oh, THREE is a GOOD NUMBER. Harry and I waited for James at Davao International airport. By 8:30am we were on the road going to Mati. We were supposed to take the hours long bus ride but then opted to take a cab straight to Mati. Haha yes 3 hours cab ride but that included our long wait for the driver to buy a rope for our boards and a stop over for brunch. Past 12 noon we arrived at DSR, the stress free zone yiiiiiw! I was glad to see familiar faces again. Felt like home. We settled and set camp. There was an ongoing Frisbee event also. And oh this was our first meeting with the Nairud sa Wabad band! Hahaha. Text mates na sila ni James ok so alam ang whereabouts nila! They were in Menzi so we headed there to greet them. Eyeball lang ang peg! Haha. It was funny but it was a memorable experience. In the afternoon we surfed in front of Amihan. If you’ve be

Good old Baler

Today I was ranting on the volume of people going to Baler. It's not the same anymore where it used to be an 8-hour trip, a few lodging (no hotels), and a handful of surf shacks. Now it's just too crowded. It's everyone's home, everyone's claiming  and owning as their homebreak. Sabay banat naman sa aking.. hayaan mo lang sila, basta ikaw iyo ang San Luis! And don't worry about them wala ka naman kaagaw sa akin e! #uywow #woyeah # bombaboom  Hahahha I laughed and smiled! But seriously I miss the good old Baler. The simple small town with lots of coconut trees. We used to pitch tent and take a bath at a running water fronting the diners at Bay's inn and no one cares. There's just too much development and infrastructures and sacrificed the stillness and simplicity of the area. It feels good that I've seen and long experienced the quaint old Baler. It'll be all just good memories I guess. I hope I can bring back year 2009 when I fell in love w

Bata bata, paano ka ginawa?

This was a novel written by Luwalhati Bautista and a movie starred by Vilma Santos. I wrote this essay way back May 12, 2008, during my college days. This was a requirement in one of my GE classes in UP, Panitikang Pilipint 19 (PanPil 19).

Automated

Another file I saw.. I wrote this on May 5, 2011 on the First ever National Election experience I had. It's my first time to vote! Woke up early, excited to vote. It's the first ever automated election! Talk about progress and advancement. This is it! No more manual counting. I remember watching on TV the tedious way of counting votes. They used manila papers and markers to manually count the votes. It took days to finish tallying the votes. 10am my mom and I headed to the Club House wearing green shirt to signify our support for GIBO. Long cues await us! We patiently lined up under the heat of the sun, sweating profusely. After 3 hours finally we reach the voting station. I signed my name, thumb marked across it and got the ballot, folder and marker. I carefully shaded my chosen candidates, while looking at my codigo ballot from time to time. Done. Ready to cast my vote. I eagerly went near the Pcos machine. In less than 1minute the machine flashed the "Congra

Graduate Studies Essay

I was cleaning my files and I found my Graduate Essay. I wrote this July 16, 2012 as part of my application for MS Environmental and Natural Resources Management in the UP Open University. I'm posting it here so I can delete the file already:) I have this deep love for the ocean as I was growing up. I like swimming and even tried water sports like dragon boat, skin diving and surfing. This love for the ocean turned into a great passion for marine conservation when I became a member of the UP Marine Biological Society (UP MBS). UP MBS is an environmental, skin diving organization that aims to promote awareness of the marine environment thru the sport of skin diving and the principles of environmentalism. I was exposed to various marine organisms as we dove and explored our islands. I had a chance to head an International Coastal Cleanup back in college. The cleanup was followed by a lecture on how the youth can help save the environment. Because of this organization, I’ve becom
