ICC: Kalikasining 2010

Septeber 18-19, 2010

This year's International Coastal Cleanup entitled KALIKASINING: Klima, Kultura, Kapaligiran 2010 at Isla Verde, Batangas. ICC is a yearly event and the UP MBS has been organizing its own for the past six years.

Education and environment awareness were the main focus. Since the event catered to elementary and high school students of San Agapito, the activities lined up for them were geared towards arts and crafts. The elementary students in Origami class under Teacher Klar learned how to make shark and turtle. Students in Drawing class under Teacher David made comic strips about the environment. The best comic strip made was entitled Ang Malungkot na Pugita. The High school students on the other hand had lectures on climate change, waste management. They identified environmental problems in their area like, dynamite fishing, mining, using fine nets to catch small fishes to display in aquariums, burning of trash. They made an action plan to solve their identified problems. One class made a poem of their action plan! Another one made a production number. Amazing. That was how bibo the students were.

We had a brief cleanup of the shore after the lectures. Each group had to segregate and tally the trash. After which, the trash bags were placed in the school's MRF- Materials Recovery Facility.

The outputs of each class were then showcased. The students were really creative and talented. Their intermission numbers were entertaining. The MBS applicants Batch Seaduction 2010 entertained us as well with their Bieber dance moves.

It was a fulfilling experience! Having been able to share our knowledge and love for the environment to them. We definitely learned as much from them too!

5am in the morning we arrive at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) parking lot. I was with Phoebe, James, Jedd and Jay, who drove us. There were already a lot of participants roaming. I got off the car and started securing my toe nails with band aid! Ayokong matanggalan ulit ng kuko. Dalawaang beses na kong natanggalan. By 5.15am we were with the rest of the UP MBS runners. Yeahay! It's my first ever 10k run. 5.30am the event began. RUN! The MBS pack run All of us running together. I couldn't have finished 10k without the MBS support. I really can't believe I made it! I'm so proud of myself. An hour and 15 minutes of running. Whew! Now we have a time to break weee. My legs and feet are still aching! But the whole experience was worth the pain. Short Lived 2 of 2

I learned and discovered things about myself and about relationships that I wouldn't have known without having gone into that short lived relationship. Lower the tone of my voice. He's the first person who told me that I talk as if I'm angry or picking a fight. And then I got it validated by a colleague who told me to hear myself when I speak weeks later. I'm very cautious now. I believe I have the sweetest voice already! Be vocal of how I feel . There's nothing wrong with showing your vulnerable side to your partner. Trust that your partner wont judge you or belittle you .  Be open and honest with everything. No secrets. Your partner has the right to now after all he's the one who should be able to listen to you and help you. Getting into relationship means hard work . 3 1K LOSS

 Today I lost 1K USD. It's the initial amount I invested on XTB. I'm now left with 223 USD, which is the total profit I gained since the day I started trading for real (Sept __, 2023).  Here's what happened. I mistakenly opened a wrong position. I checked long frames and they seem to be down trend. I put a trend line on h1 frame and it's also going down with 3 candles going up. I figured those were negligible and will eventually go down. I went on to check m1 frame and as soon as it went down trend, I clicked red for sell. And less than few minutes, trend went up. Increasing my loss too. I couldn't look anymore so I logged out.  My strategy was to let it open overnight, thinking it will eventually go down to the set TP. Hours later, XTB automatically closed my position at -1023 loss. I couldn't believe it. 3 weeks worth of trading with consistent gains, now all gone in just few hours and one single mistake.  Ok I understand now that it will take forever to get b
