Explo Dive
October 9-19, 2010
Location: Palauig, Zambales
The Crew: TL Gene, ATL Kira, ATL Jojie, Ayin, Jed, Pat, Bry
Agenda: find a place for Grand Induction
The ultimate road trip with only Ayin's GPS phone leading us the way.
Left Philcoa 5am. Because we love Bryan, we went all the way to Manila Bay to drop the cursed paddle bag then off to our destination. Breakfast at Jolibbee Subic. Then back on the road. I can't remember what time we arrived on the island though.
It was a paradise. Lots of starfishes welcomed us! Crystal clear water and almost fine sand. Manang Auring led us to our cute hut. We scouted the area and looked for the best spot where we can camp and do the rites. For lunch we ate our canned goods. Ansarap!
The island was spacious and shady. It is surrounded by trees. There's also water source which is what we need.
Time to check the dive site. Front beach had patches of reef and they are scattered from one another. Starfishes there were a lot! (magsasawa ka sa dami) The side part of the beach had diverse fishes and reefs as compared to the front beach. Visibility is low at time though. You don't even have to dive that deep to appreciate the colorful marine life.
I'll make a follow up entry next time on how to go to this beautiful island!
