Party-Surf

April 7-9, 2010

From Seaduction's apps party, went straight to Partas Station, Cubao 2.30am. Loaded around 3am. SLEEP! The whole trip going to La Union (LU) we (ayin, moley, patrick, lia, doi) were asleep. The only time we had to recharge from the wild apps' party. Around 8am, reached San Juan La Union! What welcomes us? Small waves, not even strong enough to give us a long ride. Why?! The forecast said there'd be waves!

We dropped our things in Lola Nanny's, our lodging. We had 2 kubos. Chill place by the way. Perfect tambay place! We had the second floor all to ourselves. Over looking the beach and fresh air.

Breakfast at Patubo's. Their __silog ranges from 55-75pesos. Around 10am loaded a our boards. Kuya Mickey, LU local accompanied us to Baroro, a surf spot near Bacnotan. There were ample waves compared to the ones in front our lodging.

Had our lunch at Norma's, right in front of Sebay. Meal ranges from 50-60pesos. Their fried chicken is a must try. Parang Max's chicken!

Siesta time! Dahil walang alon nung hapon, tinulog nalang namin. Early dinner at Urbiztondo Grill.

The next day, we went to another surf spot, Sunset located at the end of San Juan, La Union. Yeahoo more waves for all! Early that day, Ayin was thinking of extending her stay one more day, hoping that the waves the following day will be bigger. Moley's supposed day trip became an overnight trip. I also wanted to extend because really, an overnight surf trip is too short. My ever so loving and understanding mom replied to my text "Ok. Take care. Pls text me. How's the weather there?" Yahoo! Confirmed I'll extend one more day.

Around past 6pm Pat, Lia and Doi left. Next morning, we headed the beach got our boards and tried to surf. The waves were still small. A lawyer from Manila Surfers' invited us to go with them to Sunset. Without thinking, we got our slippers and loaded the our boards in an owner-type jeep.

The Highlight... Luli Arroyo, daughter of PGMA was with us! Her board was a Walden fun board. Cool! She's small but able to catch and ride waves. Waves in Sunset were sooo big compared to the other day. The sets were nice. Fun!

The whole trip was so perfect! I really needed it after a long toxic days in school. Now I'm recharged and ready to face everything with positivity.

Can't wait for my next surf trip, definitely on October! When season starts in Baler and LU.
